A true Mexican Market. while the city market is for tourist the Cuauhtemoc is for people who know the area. Large tradtional market with an open air food market. If you are a first tiem visiter to Juarez or if you are nervous then stick to City Market. However, if you want to see a true Mexican Market then come here.

Duty Free Mexico

These store specialize in perfumes, colognes, crystals, watches, fine liqours, and fine cigars. It is substantially cheaper then the U.S. This is the store I choose to but my Liqour, Tequilla, and cigars. They do not sell Cuban cigars, which are illegal to bring into the U.S.

If you walk across the bridge on Santa Fe St. in El Paso you Will be on Juarez Av. when you enter Juarez. This is the main tourist strip in Juarez. The streets are filles with shops, resturants, bars and night clubs, pharmacies, liqour stores, and the Juarez Sports book. Street is centrally located and the the City or Cuauhtemoc Markets are only 1 mile away. also duty free Mexico in on this street. Stores close at sun down and night clubs open up. Night club crowd is usually teenagers and college students from Las Cruces and El Paso. Trouble can occur at night and be wary because the Red-Light district is two blocks west of Juarez Ave.

A very modern mall. Movie theather and and ice-skating rink are located here. A good base camp if you drive inbto mexico becuase several shops are located very near. Also many american restraunts are near. Burger King and McDonalds.

One mile south of the Bridge of Americas. Mall is three years old and is not fully occupied. Mall is very unique, it is built to resemble a Mexican village. Mall is very nice and there are a few good shops including a Cigar shop. Visit mall just to see the structure .

Rio Grande Mall

A typical Mexican middle calss shopping center. There is a large grocery store and deptartment store. Unique store is the bakery and tortillaria on the southside of the mall. You can but pastries and corn tortillas hot from the oven at very cheap prices.
